Churchyard
Saint Mary’s Churchyard is made up of three distinct areas: the Old Churchyard, Saint Mary’s Woods and the Burial Garden. The Old Churchyard refers to the original churchyard. It is located directly behind the Rectory. Saint Mary’s Woods is an area primarily designed for the internment of ashes. It is located at the southern corner of the Churchyard. Saint Mary’s Woods will always remain natural. The Burial Garden was established in 1987. It is located to the right of the Rectory. It is primarily designed for the internment of ashes.
Saint Mary’s encourages visitors to walk about the property and enjoy the beauty of the Churchyard. There is a walking path through all three areas. In order to keep the grounds in good condition and appearance, there are guidelines and certain restrictions on plantings and structures. For more information about guidelines and location of a person’s lot, please contact the Parish Office at 781-3366 or the Committee Chairperson. Office hours are 9am – 4:30pm Mon – Thurs (excluding holidays).
