Fall Series: Contemplating Community with The Rule of Benedict

This fall, Deacon Matthew will lead a series exploring the timeless wisdom of The Rule of Benedict and its relevance to our lives today. Using Joan Chittister’s book, The Rule of Benedict: A Spirituality for the 21st Century, we will delve into daily readings and reflections that offer guidance on living a balanced and meaningful life.

The series will begin on August 29 with an introductory session, followed by weekly Zoom discussions on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm. Whether you’re new to Benedictine spirituality or have long been inspired by its teachings, this series offers a chance to deepen your understanding of communal and individual spirituality.

To participate, you can purchase the book online or contact Deacon Matthew for a copy. Let’s come together to explore how this ancient rule can help us navigate the complexities of modern life.
