Saint Mary’s Kitchen

Welcome to Saint Mary’s Kitchen, a vibrant and growing ministry at St. Mary’s that combines fellowship, service, and fundraising. Through the efforts of our dedicated volunteers, we create delicious homemade preserves, pickles, baked goods, and more, all while building community and supporting our parish’s mission. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just looking to lend a hand, there’s a place for you in Saint Mary’s Kitchen!

  • We create artisanal jams, jellies, pickles, and other preserves using fresh, local ingredients. These products are sold at parish events, including the Sparkles Christmas Fair and Summer Soiree.

  • We prepare frozen, ready-to-bake entrees and comfort foods for parishioners to enjoy at home.

  • As part of the CARE Ministry, we deliver “Soup in a Bag” to homebound parishioners, bringing warmth and connection to those who cannot join us in person.

  • Saint Mary’s Kitchen provides delicious food for parish events, including retreats, gatherings, and special celebrations.

Get Involved

Saint Mary’s Kitchen is always looking for volunteers to join our mission. Whether you’re an experienced cook or just want to lend a hand, there’s a place for you! Here’s how you can help:

  • Join a Canning Session: Throughout the year, we host canning and preserving work sessions in the parish kitchen. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm!

  • Deliver Soup: Be part of our CARE Ministry by delivering “Soup in a Bag” to homebound parishioners. It’s a rewarding way to connect with members of our community.

  • Bake for Events: Help us prepare baked goods for parish events, including the Sparkles Christmas Fair and Cookie Walk.

  • Donate: Support our efforts by contributing to the Saint Mary’s Kitchen Ingredient Fund. Donations help cover the cost of ingredients and supplies.

Our Impact

Saint Mary’s Kitchen is more than just a kitchen—it’s a place where community is built, and lives are touched. Here’s how we make a difference:

  • Supporting Homebound Parishioners: Through our “Soup in a Bag” deliveries, we bring nourishment and connection to those who cannot leave their homes.

  • Building Fellowship: Our canning and baking sessions are a chance to work side-by-side with fellow parishioners, sharing stories, recipes, and laughter.

  • Raising Funds for the Parish: The products we create are sold at parish events, helping to raise funds for St. Mary’s ministries and outreach programs.
