Fall Series: Contemplating Community

Deacon Matthew will be offering a time to reflect on communal and individual spirituality through the lens of The Rule of Benedict this fall. We will be using The Rule of Benedict: A Spirituality for the 21st Century by Joan Chittister as a template for discussion. Sister Joan Chittister breaks down The Rule for us in the form of daily readings and reflections. In Joan Chittister’s Book reflections on The Rule start on September 1 and go through December 31.

Group Sessions to discuss what we have been reading will be on Zoom on Thursday evenings from 6:30 -7:30pm. Our sessions will begin on Thursday August 29 and go through January 2; we will take Thanksgiving off. The August Session will be probably be shorter, as it will be a brief introduction to The Rule of Benedict and why it may have something to say to us today.
